Botulinum Toxin A
Botulinum Toxin A is the leading non-surgical procedure that uses injections to enhance the face’s natural appearance by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. It specifically targets the muscle movements involved in expressions such as smiling, frowning, and squinting.
The injections block the chemical signals transmitted by nerves that cause muscles to contract. The resulting temporary paralysis reduces the formation of static wrinkles, resulting in smoother, more youthful skin.
Benefits
The application options of Botulinum Toxin A are numerous. The common areas we use Botulinum Toxin A on are the forehead, frown and crows feet but can also be used to treat the downward turning corners of the mouth, improve the appearance of a gingival smile (“gummy smile”) and also soften lip lines (“barcode lines”). When treating bruxism by injecting the masseter muscle this can also result in a more elongated appearance to the lower face.
Botulinum Toxin A is also used for medical reasons to treat Hyperhidrosis, Bruxism and Migraines.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are injectable substances containing naturally occurring hyaluronic acid used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours.
Different dermal fillers are available with different properties – Dr Marlé Le Roux will consult and propose the most appropriate filler for the area being treated. Furthermore, during your consultation we will advise whether fillers/combination treatment or one of our advanced devices are more suitable to achieve your goals.
Bio-stimulators
Bio-stimulators are compounds injected into the skin which stimulate and improve the functioning of skin cells, promoting tissue regeneration. By encouraging the body’s natural collagen and elastin production, the treatment delivers natural-looking and prolonged results. Depending on which treatment plan is designed for you, the injections will typically be administered over numerous sessions for optimal results.
These treatments can be utilised for the face, neck, under-eye area, arms, knees and lower abdomen. These are also effective for times of rapid and significant weight loss to reduce loss of volume and skin laxity.

Results include improvement in skin laxity, skin hydration, reduction of fine wrinkles, volume restoration and mild lifting effect.
